It’s official. Honeycomb is version 3.0 and definitely an OS optimized for tablet use. The Android youtube page was updated earlier today with a video displaying actual use of the new operating system. Clips of book reading, the actual Honeycomb desktop, and the software buttons were all displayed in the video.

Unfortunately, the video was soon pulled and now displays “This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender’s friend request”. Unless you have personally been sent the link, you may need to wait until it floats around the internet elsewhere for a viewing. Considering the estimated launch date for 3.0 is March, seeing the operating system function smoothly in demo was reassuring.
