Sony has yet to release the Xperia XA and Xperia X in the market but we were told the former will not be available the US while the X Performance won’t roll out in Germany and the UK. The two will be distributed in Europe via Amazon and good news, Sony has just opened up pre-order for the phones. Estimated delivery date is May 20 for the Xperia X and June 10 for the XA model.
The Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA are priced at £499.99 ($723) and £239.99 ($350). Both are premium flagship smartphones but there are some questions about the pricing. The Xperia X in the UK will only have a Snapdragon 650 processor so the cost is expensive. It’s totally fine if there’s S820 but that’s for the Xperia X Performance. The UK version doesn’t even have IP68-water certification.
There must be some kind of mistake on the listing either on the price or the specs but everything is right there on Amazon UK. Check out the pre-order links:
To review, the Sony Xperia X comes equipped with a 5-inch Full HD curved display, 23MP camera with Predictive Hybrid Autofocus, 13MP selfie camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, 64-bit processor, and is powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Meanwhile, the Xperia XA phone is loaded with the same 5-inch Full HD curved display, 13MP camera with Hybrid Autofocus, 8MP front-facing camera, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and a 64 bit Octa Core processor.
