It’s that time of the month again (no, we don’t mean that one) and so you better make space on your Android devices as the Amazon Appstore is offering a lot of free apps, which include some of the most popular games, photo editing apps, and utilities. The catch of course is that you need to get the apps not through the Google Play Store but through Amazon’s own Appstore, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

This batch of free apps contains a lot of games. But they’re not just games that nobody wants to download and so they’re offering it for free (although we’re pretty sure there are some lemons in there). But some of the more popular ones in this bunch are the original Fruit Ninja (because who doesn’t want to slice fruit?), Goat Simulator (because imitating goats is always fun?), Scribblenauts Remix (we all need our imagination to run a little wild every once in a while yes?). and many other games.

For those always on the lookout for photo editors, we have Photo Lab PRO. We also have productivity and work-related apps like Tiny Scan Pro and Docs to Go Premium. If you’re thinking of trying out a few cupcake recipes, then you have 150 Flavorful Cupcake Recipes. If you believe Sudoku will never go out of style, then there’s Sudoku 4ever Plus. The most expensive among the free apps is the AVG Antivirus PRO Android Security whose original price is $11.99.

All in all, the total cost of the apps is around $90. You only have until August 15 to download the apps for free so better get that Amazon Appstore (if you haven’t yet) and start acquiring these free apps, part of Amazon’s move to get more people to their appstore.
