During the last update in January, AirDroid finally received support for Android 5.0 Lollipop. That was a month after the AirDroid 3 was officially released and after months of being in the works. The update was very much welcome but unfortunately for some Samsung devices, it was not made available to the owners. The developers have been trying to improve the app, especially the AirMirror feature, and finally, it now supports Samsung.
This particular update bringsAirMirror-ing to most Samsung devices as long as they are running at least Android 4.0 and have been rooted. The AirDroid developers have tested the app with several Samsung devices like the Galaxy Note 2, Note 3, S3, S4, and S5. Support for the Samsung Galaxy S6 is still being improved and it should be ready soon. The devs made a note that some devices may still not be supported because of many factors: different Root manages, different ROMs, and different network environments.
With the v3.1.3 update, the AiDroid app for Android has been improved to make searching for other AirDroid devices on the same network easier and faster. Android M has yet to be released officially but the developers already added a booster to be compatible with it. As usual, more improvements and bug fixes have been made.
This particular update is for the Android app only. Download AirDroid from the Google Play Store.
