It has been a few days since we last heard from a Chinese Android-based phone, but do not worry if you crave for those devices. Apparently, the Chinese are at it once again, this time is the OPPO phone running on Google’s free OS.
Chinese manufacturer OPPO, who is better known as a manufacturer of PMPs, has decided to get into the Android arena. Their upcoming Android-based smartphone will have a 3.5-inch WQGA (800 x 480) capacitive multitouch screen, a nice QWERTY keyboard, and WiFi.
The lateral lights that you can see on the image above, will give different information to the phone’s user. Some of that info will be the weather, referring to the current temperature and humidity as well as the date. They are planning to launch this Android phone by the first quarter of 2010. There is no word on price and specific name for this smartphone model.
There you go folks, let us know in the comments your thoughts about this Chinese smartphone. Also, have you notice the Palm Pre dialer on this OPPO phone? Check the image and my screenshots below to compare.
