In about a month, we’ll get to see and hold the Samsung Galaxy S10 phones–all three variants. The Galaxy S10E, S10, and S10+ are being benchmarked and tested the past few weeks. The S10+ has reached Geekbench but with rather disappointing numbers. Disappointment is relative but a benchmark is a benchmark and numbers are important. Specifically, the Galaxy S10+ phone with 6GB RAM and Exynos 9820 processor that runs on Android 9 Pie got 3248 points on a single-core test. On multi-core, the result is 7999.
The numbers are great but not as great as the Galaxy S9’s from last year. The iPhone XS also has better numbers.
The Snapdragon 855-powered Galaxy S10+ has different results: 3413 points and 10256 points. Those are for single and multi-core and the difference are very obvious.
The Galaxy S10+ will have 6GB or 8GB of RAM. You can choose 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB for the 8GB RAM variant. To review, the phone features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, curved edges, camera cut-out for dual selfie cameras, triple rear cameras (12MP + telephoto lens + wide-angle sensor).
More details have been shared already but we’ll know for sure on the 20th of February at an Unpacked 2019 event. These Galaxy S10 phones will be followed by the foldable phone and a 5G variant.
