Vivo is believed to be working on a futuristic bezel-less smartphone and it is set to launch this June. We believe it’s only a matter of time before the Chinese OEM makes an official announcement. No, we’re not referring to the Vivo X20 Plus UD. A new and different phone is in the works–a flagship smartphone offering. This coming June 12, we may be introduced to the Vivo NEX which may arrive with a NEX S. This Vivo Nex duo will be different in a number of ways since the S is a souped down variant.
The Vivo NEX is shown in an image. We’ve got some information on specs and features that are somewhat close to the final product. Like the Vivo X21 UD and the Vivo APEX, the Vivo NEX appears to have an on-screen fingerprint reader and a fully bezel-less screen. The latter seems to real so expect 100% screen-to-body ratio. It sounds impossible but the image shows us the possibility of a bezel-less phone.
When it comes to specs, the Vivo NEX boasts a large 6.59-inch screen, 2316 × 1080 FHD+ resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, 6GB or 8GB RAM, and 128GB onboard storage. Vivo NEX S the more pro variant with 8GB RAM is also believed to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with Android 8.1 Oreo but topped by Funtouch OS. The smartphone will feature a glass and metal build. We’re looking at microSD card support but there’s no confirmation yet.
When it comes to mobile photography, you can use the VIVO NEX and take advantage of its dual rear camera system that includes a 12MP sensor and 5MP secondary sensor with dual-tone LED flash. The selfie cam has a 5MP sensor. You won’t find the selfie camera on the front display because lke the Vivo APEX, it will pop up from the top of the device. The battery is large at 4000mAh. When it comes to connectivity, it features the standard Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G LTE, VoLTE, GPS, OTG support, micro USB 2.0 port, and a dual-SIM card slot.

The Vivo NEX will be available for CNY 6,998 ($1,095) while the NEX S will only be CNY 4,998 ($782). The prices are premium we think it can be a downside especially in a market where people are always looking for more but don’t really want to spend a lot of money.
