The next Galaxy On phone will soon be unveiled by Samsung. The smartphone will be coming to Flipkart on exactly October 20, Thursday, according to a recent post by Samsung Mobile India. Only a few weeks ago, a gold Galaxy On8 was listed on the same website. This could be the 2016 version of either the Galaxy On5 or Galaxy On7. We’re guessing the On7 because it was already recently launched in China.
This mysterious Galaxy On device is said to have a full-metal unibody build plus an octa-core processor. It’s going be sold exclusively on Flipkart in India.
Details are scarce but since this is a Galaxy On phone, it will have mid-range specs. We’re guessing probably a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution, 3GB RAM, microSD card slot for expansion, decent cameras like a 13MP and 5MP shooter, and at least a 3500mAh battery. The previous On8 launched with a 15,900 rupee price tag ($259) so it should be around that price point too.
Hopefully, this new Samsung Galaxy On will keep the consumers’ minds off the Note 7 problem for now. It may not be a premium flagship device but phone is good enough. That is, if there’s no overheating or exploding battery–cross your fingers.
