The HTC Internet app which arrived at the Play Store back in January 2015 is about to be discontinued after only over a year of being available for the HTC phone owners. The Taiwanese tech giant has announced that the app will no longer be available starting November 30, 2016. That means, you only have seven weeks to enjoy the browser and transfer bookmarks or settings to a new one. You can still use it but expect no updates will be delivered because the company will stop supporting the app.

From today until the the end of November, feel free to export saved bookmarks and install the most recent update released. It’s supposed to be the last one so don’t expect any further improvements or bug fixes. The recent fixes are the last ones for the HTC app.

The HTC Browser’s demise is part of the company’s many efforts to remove the redundant apps that may be similar that what others are currently offering. Unlike the older HTC phones, the new HTC 10 doesn’t come with the popular HTC-developed apps like this HTC Internet, Scribble, and Polaris Office.

Older models can still run the HTC Internet browser app but no more support after the given date. Future downloads are not allowed because you will no longer see the app on the Google Play Store.
