After several leaks and sightings, the Galaxy A8 (2016) is finally released in South Korea. After those rendered images and Geekbench and GFXBench listings, Samsung has finally unveiled the new Galaxy smartphone. This is the 2016 variant of the A8 released over a year ago. As expected, the new phone is packed with standard Samsung elements sans an exploding battery.
SK Telecom just showed off the 5.7-inch phone complete with ah AMOLED panel, 1080p resolution, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, and Exynos 7420 processor. When it comes to imaging, the Galaxy A8 features a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. There’s the Always On Display, fingerprint reader, microSD card slot, and a 3300mAh battery. Device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and the new Grace UX already out of the box.
SK Telecom is offering a blue variant of the Samsung Galaxy A8. You can now pre-order for one beginning tomorrow, October 1. Still no word on international availability but in its home country, it’s priced at KRW 649,000 which is about $580 in the US. We’re guessing this Galaxy A8 will also be released in China, Japan, and India just like the 2015 version.

Starting every article about Samsung mentioning the battery issue isn’t funny and is semi childish.
