The Moto G4 Play is finally and officially available in the United States. Just last week, Amazon offered it as a Prime Exclusive. The Moto G4 Play was announced last May together with the Moto G4 and the G4 Plus. The Moto G4 Play is affordable at only $149.99. You can also get it under the $25 Budget Pay Plan with an eligible Motorola Credit Account.

Phone is ideal for those looking for something they can use for “play”. The G4 Play is splashproof so you don’t have to worry about it getting wet.

Specs and features are good enough for the price. There’s the 5-inch display with 720p resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 8GB or 16GB storage, 5MP front-facing camera, 8MP main camera, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, 4G/LTE connectivity, and a 2800mAh battery. Those are mid-range specs that’s good enough for basic smartphone experience.

The Moto G4 Play is mobile carrier-friendly which means you can use it unlocked. Major networks supported include AT&T, Consumer Cellular, T-Mobile, and AT&T. Verizon just added the Moto G4 Play to its line-up under a prepaid line. If you avail of the $84.99 smartphone from the mobile carrier on any of the prepaid plans, you can get pay for 5GB of data and unlimited talk to Canada and Mexico for only $60, 2GB of data per month for only $45, and WiFi-only access for only $30.
