ZTE will always be busy with coming up with news phones if not upgrading old ones. The Chinese OEM has been making waves not only in its native country but also in the United States where it’s one of the top phone manufacturers. After the ZTE Axon 7, Zmax Pro, and the ZTE Nubia N1 released the past few months, the company is set to make another announcement and introduce the new ZTE Axon Max 2.
The Axon Max phablet was released during Q4 of 2016 so this follow-up model can be considered early. Well, nothing is formal yet because the unit was only sighted after getting 3C certification in China. This only means that the phone is coming very soon. Known this early as the ZTE C2017, we know this will be the Max 2 because the Axon Max was codenamed C2016 previously.
The ZTE C2017 was also listed recently on Geekbench. It’s another indication that the phone is on its way. So far, we know that next ZTE phone will have the following: 6-inch Full HD resolution, 2.0GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset, Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB RAM, and 64GB built-in storage. Smartphone is expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow topped with ZTE’s very own MiFavor UI.
The device is also believed to have 13MP rear and front-facing cameras plus 4K recording capability. Meanwhile, GFXbench has listed the phone to have 4G LTE connectivity, single SIM support, and another dual-SIM variant meant for Asia only. There’s also the standard features like GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC plus USB Type-C port since the Axon 7 and Max have it.
