The secret is out: the LG V20 is the first Android Nougat smartphone. We mentioned before that it’s the first non-Nexus Nougat device but we didn’t expect it would also be the first. We thought that the new Nexus phones would have that title but as it turned out, it’s the LG V20. This means LG has that privilege. We’ve been saying that the phone will debut on September 6 in San Francisco. We already saw a teaser and we gathered that it will arrive with some Friends.
Since the US event will be in the 6th, it only makes sense the South Korean launch will be on September 7. No details were included, just the date plus the phone and a microphone on stage, under the spotlight. We’re curious to know about the V20 because it’s a premium flagship phone. We’ve been hearing rumors and seeing image renders already so it’s only a matter of time.
Meanwhile, the Instagram account of LG USA Mobile has been busy showing sample photos taken using an LG V20.
