If there was one place on the internet that you would find a bypass method for Samsung’s factory reset protection (FRP), it would probably be at RootJunky’s. We’ve seen time and again how the hacker makes short work of Android’s factory reset protection before, and now we’re looking at a universal way to bypass FRP on Samsung devices done by RootJunky.
Ok, initial caveat – this could basically be used for malicious stuff, we know. But there are other times when you need to bypass FRP, like when you want to sell your phone to another person but FRP comes into play and you’ve basically forgotten the account details used for this phone. So if you’re using it for the latter, good on you. Watch the video below.
RootJunky has bypassed FRP on a number of devices before. This time around, FRP is bypassed for virtually all Samsung phones that have the protection. The process involves the user and a PC, a USB connection for the phone, and some apps. Once you install the program on the PC and the app on the phone, you can basically follow the instructions on the video.
Our word to Samsung and Android is that you basically have to make this a little bit harder to crack, just for the sake of privacy and protection. If hackers can make short work of FRP, then our phones that get stolen are not safe at all.
