Today isn’t all about the Galaxy Note 7. We’re still interested in other flagship phones like this upcoming Redmi 4. Well, nothing is certain yet but a set of images popped up on the web yesterday, giving us a glimpse into the new Redmi model. The Redmi 3S was recently launched in China last June following the Redmi 3 Pro unveiled in March. Don’t be confused yet with the names because what we have are still considered as leaks and rumors.
According to a post on Weibo, the “Chinese Twitter”, the top OEM in the country will be unveiling a new Redmi phone. It will boast of a full metal body design, speakers at the bottom, fingerprint scanner at the back, 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage, andHelio P10 64-bit octa-core chipset from MediaTek.
As with most smartphones in the market, the volume and power keys will be on the right and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This one will be topped by the MIUI 8 OS. We’re thinking that the Redmi 4 will have a slightly curved edged or maybe something that’s only rounded at the sides. There’s the visible Mi logo which could also mean it’s a new Mi–probably the next Mi 6 as a follow up to the Mi 5.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 may be considered as another flagship but it’s expected to be very affordable at around a hundred dollars (699 yuan). That is, if we are to base the price on the most recent Redmi 3S. No information on availability yet but let’s wait and see for the official announcement.
