After ASUS rolls out the ZenPad 3S 10, here comes the ZenPad 3 8.0 as another premium Android tablet. It’s like a smaller version of the 3S 10 and an alternative to the ZenPad Z8 that is mainly for Verizon consumers. The 7.9-inch tablet comes equipped with an IPS LED display, 1536 x 2048 resolution (QXGA), and anti-fingerprint coating for smudge-free usage.
What’s impressive in this tablet is the multi-touch support plus Tru2Life+ Technology and the fact that it’s powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm MSM8956 Hexa Core chipset. There may only be 2GB of RAM but a more powerful 4GB version will be available. You can choose from either the 16GB or 32GB built-in storage that will be complemented by 5GB ASUS web storage. That’s aside from the 100GB Google Drive storage space that will be offered. The microSD card slot even further expands the memory.
The ZenPad 3 8.0 boasts of Miracast, 4G LTE support and DTS HD Premium audio-powered speakers. There’s the usual WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3G, and different audio technologies like DTS headphone:X, Sonic Master Technology, and aptX.
There’s a simple 8MP rear camera and 2MP selfie shooter. The camera system may be underwhelming but there’s already USB-C plus battery life can extend up to eleven hours. Still no word on availability and pricing but we’ll let you know soon.
