It’s not a case of “Slowly but surely” for Pokemon GO. The augmented reality game is quickly becoming popular that some people are already considering it as phenomenal. It’s not even available worldwide but others have “caught” the trend that features those cute pocket monsters of our childhood. What makes it more special is the augmented reality (AR) factor that allows one to play the game anywhere to sight a Pokemon character.

The mobile game is now ready in the United States, New Zealand, and Australia but there are people in other countries who are lucky enough to try the game albeit unofficially. In Europe, Pokemon GO is now ready in Germany. It’s the first market for Niantic Labs and Nintendo to launch the AR game in that region. With this launch, we’re expecting more will go crazy with Pokemon GO.

The developers of the AR game thought of doing a global launch but had to delay it a bit because servers for the game in the three launch countries were stressed. There were some server issues encountered. We’re imagining there’s too much volume and that’s only three countries. Now that it’s in Germany, we’re crossing our fingers that the developers and the servers are more than ready to handle the volume of new gamers.

In its first week, the game has reportedly earned $14 million. That’s a lot of money but we’re not really surprised because the moment we learned about it last year, we knew of fans getting excited over it. The $30M investmentt seems to be all worth it and we’re guessing, money will be doubled in no time. When a sample gameplay was shown off at the SXSW, a lot of people got excited. It rolled out for iOS and Android Wear last week and now Nintendo shares are up.

The augmented reality game has yet to launch in Japan, other countries in Europe, and the rest of the world. We want to know if, when, and how Niantic Labs and Nintendo will be able to keep the popularity of Pokemon GO.
