When you’re buying a smartphone, does battery size matter? Given the way that we use our devices and how often we’re mobile most of the time, it should right? That’s what LG is hoping that people will take stock of when considering whether or not to buy their newly released smartphone, the X Power. Now if you’re in Canada, you will be able to actually consider getting the device as it is now finally available in the country through Wind Mobile and Videotron.
And what’s this smartphone’s main selling point? The device has a 4100mAh battery, which is huge compared to the standard 2800mAh that most devices have. Aside from that, this device has a mid-range specs and a relatively affordable price. It has a 5.3-inch display with a 1280×720 resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core processor, has a 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It is of course running on Android Marshmallow already.
Camera-wise, it has an 8MP main shooter and a 5MP front-facing one. It is 148.9 x 74.9 x 7.9mm in size and weighs 139 grams. The specs are not that mind-blowing, but if you’re looking for just a simple device that will last you a whole lot longer than the normal smartphones, then this can be something you’d want to look at.
If you’re in Canada, you can get the LG X Power at $0 on WindTab and Videotron for a contract. If you want to buy it outright, it’s $249 for the former and $299.95 for the latter. It will also soon come to Bell, Koodo, SaskTel, TELUS, and Virgin Mobile.
