Some good news from BitTorrent, the company has recently launched a new business known as Resilio. That’s something positive but unfortunately, the CEO has just left the team for another company to work as its new CTO. From BitTorrent, Eric Klinker will work for InterNAP. Meanwhile, Resilio is a new company that will now focus solely on Sync. These changes will have some impact on BitTorrent as a whole but hopefully, all for the better.
Sync becomes Resilio. The idea is a more centralized and focused management so BitTorrent can work on building a global consumer media platform. With this new thing, creators and artists now have a new venue to distribute work and monetize their art. This will allow the 200 million BitTorrent fans to enjoy the suite of products and technology provided.

As a a stand-alone company, the Sync business will focus more on the consumer media side. Currently available on iOS, Android, Mac, Linux, and Windows, expect Sync to receive significant improvements so creating, editing, and sharing files are more convenient than ever. We’re also expecting more support from other companies will be announced.
Go on and proceed with backing up your files and sharing them even without cloud storage. Just sync those photos, files, videos, and PDFs and you can easily access them someday.
