Still hot from Google I/O, we talked yesterday about Google going all in into virtual reality (VR), so much so that they created a whole new set of specifications for its hardware related to VR. This is called Google Daydream, and it is set to go live when Android N rolls in. Now we get a first peek at what it looks like.
Later in the year when Google Daydream launches, Google will – together with 3rd-party partners – create consumer-ready Daydream VR kits. But for now, Android pundits and tech junkies will have to create their own, and our friends over at SlashGear did just that. All they needed was a Nexus 6P, another Android smartphone, and a desktop or laptop computer – plus a whole lot of patience. See the hands-on video below.
But more than that, they were able to see what the Daydream VR environment looked like, and to be honest, it would seem that Google’s virtual reality playground is ripe for development. Take a look at the demo below to see how the controller works. Also, if you want to build your own kit, check out the source link (link #1) below for instructions.
We understand that Google will be manufacturing their own Daydream VR kits. The Daydream spec will also be something that you would be looking for in smartphones, if you wanted to launch into the world of Daydream VR, so it won’t be long until you see phones sporting the Daydream VR badge.

Will the controller be responsible for the movement in VR environment and not the movement of my head connected with the VR Headset on my eyes?
