No way. Not even pretending to be possible. Not out of the box anyway. The origin of the title of this post comes directly from our pals over at TUAW, that Apple blog, where they’ve identified a rather large mistake in the press materials sent out by Viewsonic today with the ViewPad 10. The application you see here, on the tablet shown in the release for the ViewPad 10, is PowerPoint for Mac. This isn’t the first time this sort of thing has happened with press materials and it isn’t the last, but since this tablet already runs Android and Windows, heck, why not another?
It’ll be the people responsible for editing the photos released with this tablet that are about to have red cheeks here. The photographers aren’t to blame, on the other hand, as this application essentially cannot operate on Windows or Android, and even if it could, it really would make less than a lot of sense to use it to display the capabilities of this Windows / Android tablet. You silly guys n gals.
See the rest of the epic public relations story involved in this device (or devices) back in the post Viewsonic ViewPad 10 Dual-boot Android / Windows 7 Tablet Available Today it is there that you’ll also learn about the secret ViewPad 10 Pro which is said to feature Android 2.2 Froyo instead of the 1.6 this regular ViewPad 10 has running. How about that? All the details will be yours.

Check it out – we just got the Mac OS on a ViewPad 10. It really CAN be done! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjOoT_I8Tl8
I installed my own version of Windows 7 Home Premium onto the Viewsonic Viewpad 10. It has 16GB SDD. Since this TABLET PC is a notebook/netbook computer in theory. The SPECS, although crap for the PC market will SMOKE ALL other APPLE/SAMSUNG IPADS.
Problem with Viewpad 10 is high price so I got the 16GB SSD version.
Problem further with that is 16GB Windows 7 installation of Viewpad if you don’t want duplicate OS’ so you must make a USB stick from a WINDOWS 7 ISO from somewhere. Don’t pay twice THOUGH! A Windows 7 ISO, even not your OWN version, you can delete “ie.cfg” file before you install and voila you can install the version that you paid for with THIS Viewpad 10, and the keys are at the back.
The duplicate OS called android aka linux, for people who can’t afford software and for those who like the google malware/spyware as a device, not just the browser anymore. Chrome and Android allows Google to TRACK YOU BY YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. OMG, anybody that surfs via GOOGLE with your email address on the SEARCH screen is just asking for it! This is the DEFINITION of GARBAGE. err, sorry everyone…
I made a USB stick partition bootable and copied the files from the my Windows 7 ISO to the USB stick.
Then I used a partitioning program DISKPART in WINDOWS to DELETE the GARBAGE setup of VIEWPAD 10 which stores 2GB for ‘street android trash’, & 11GBs for ‘Viewsonic’s Windows trash’. That is 2 partitions you delete.
Do it well: 1 – Make sure your Windows 7 USB stick is bootable before you delete partitions. 2 – Make sure you download Windows 7 stuff from Viewsonics European website (weird eh?) 3 – Make sure you have a spare WIFI USB stick because the viewsonic’s will temporarilly be not working!!!! HAHA
4 – Make sure you have other PCs,tablets that connect to internet just in case!!! HAHA
Result, I have 6Gbs free including after WINDOWS 7 UPDATES!!!
other tricks: remove hibernation, remove recyling bin, and remove restore.
and keep: paging file settings automatic.
store extra files on spare 1 TB USB drive, no PC required…hahahaha.
For me, it was really important to have a real version of MS-OFFICE because it can do MACROS! and nobody else can do MACROS for SPREADSHEETS. You?
Horrible advertising , whoever was the creative… (sorry…) on the other side , it is not what you say and viewsonic´s costumer care , just don´t care . Their customer service literally SUCKS.
I bought one when they just came out to the market and 2 hours later regret wasting such amount of money on something that is not worth 1/10th of what I paid.
Want the real thing with REAL COSTUMER CARE? get a TEGAv2 from TEGATECH Australia. Same thing , only IT WORKS AND THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT COSTUMER.
it is possible to install mac OS X on this tablet i had it on mine. it runs Mac OS X fast and smooth although it has some issues the sound does not work card reader does not work and touchscreen will not react. those are the issues that i have running Mac OS X on the tablet. in order to install mac OS X on the tablet you will need the hackintosh version which is the only way to install it on windows pc’s and this tablet since this tablet has an intel atom processor you will only be able to run Mac OS X 10.5.8 and that’s the last update that supports intel atom processors.
