Earlier, we noted that the next Huawei smartphone will have a 2K QHD display and may include some VR-integration. The Huawei V8 was earlier teased and we’re speculating it will also have the same Leica dual camera configuration. Huawei started teasing the smartphone last week and soon enough, it was sighted on TENAA in its pink/rose gold glory. Being certified by the Chinese FCC means that the device will be announced very soon in China.

We’re not sure about the specs but we’re expecting that Leica co-engineered camera setup. If its an Honor-branded smartphone, then there is the possibility of it entering the US and other European countries. Based on the TENAA listing, the Honor V8 will have a 5.7-inch screen with 2K display resolution (qHD) and will be powered by a Kirin 955 processor. Other specs listed include 4GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, front and rear dual cameras with laser focus and flash, and a 3400mAh battery.

TENAA certified three models: KNT-AL10, KNT-TL10, and the KNT-AL20. Noting has been confirmed yet but the last variant is believed to have higher specs. The 12MP dual rear camera setup and 8MP front-facing selfie camera are also said to make this Honor V8 an imaging-centric unit just like the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus.
