One of the most frequently updated apps for Android is Outlook. This Microsoft-developed app has been getting a lot of enhancements and new features like quick Skype call scheduling, Facebook-Evernote-Wunderlist integration, Sunrise integration, and new access and security controls. The last update was only released last week and here’s another one albeit very minor only. With the newly rolled out update, app now lets you save important files straight to your device.
Directly from the Files tab or email view, users can also download and then store a file on the device. However, depending on your phone or tablet, some may not be able to easily view the downloaded files. Microsoft is still working on the feature that will display those saved files in a more convenient manner or one location without having to download a separate app.
The Microsoft Outlook for Android has improved a lot in the past year. You can now have easy access to your calendar without having to go out of the app. It also now works well with other standalone Microsoft apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The Outlook mobile version also delivers efficient inbox management, thanks to a dedicated inbox that shows important messages on top plus smart filters and swipe gestures.
