Xiaomi’s Mi TV line is getting some curves. The Chinese OEM has just introduced the new Mi TV 3S 43-inch and the Mi TV 3S Curve 65-inch. After almost two years of just having the Mi TV2 variants (49-inch 4K, 40-inch Android TV, Mi TV 2S), Xiaomi has finally launched the Mi TV 3S. The standard Mi TV 3 was released last October but the new variant is more beautiful with the curved screen.

Curved-screen TVs are still relatively new and expensive but they have a potential to make it big in the TV industry. Unlike 3D TVs that sadly not many people enjoy, curved TVs offer a more natural viewing experience. Such screens take advantage of our peripheral vision because they provide a wider field of view. The only step back is the expensive price tag brands usually slap on the products.

Xiaomi wants to deliver Mi TVs to more households that’s why it’s introducing the affordable 43-inch Mi TV 3S. The FHD variant costs only CNY 1,799 which is about $278 in the US. It’s only the FHD variant but if you want the curved display experience, you may settle for the 65-inch Curved 4K Mi TV 3S. This curved TV is priced at CNY 8,999. That’s around $1,390 which is somewhat less expensive than Samsung’s $3,799 65-inch 4K UHD JU7500 Series.

Xiaomi can rival Samsung when it comes to digital TVs with lower prices. As for  the display quality, Xiaomi TV’s aren’t cheap because the 4K resolution curved display used on Mi TV 3S Curve is manufactured by the South Korean giant. The 65-inch curved TV is very thin at only 5.9mm and is equipped with 2GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, Mstar 6A928 TV processor, as well as, Dolby/DTS audio dual decoding support. The TV also comes with the Mi TV bar which is already included in the price.

The smaller Mi TV 3S 43-inch is also complete package in a 10.9mm ultra-thin metal body and frame. Specs include a Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, Mstar 6A908 chipset, 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, and Dolby DTS audio dual decoding. Both TVs run the Android MIUI developed by Xiaomi.
