Samsung isn’t switching to Android Wear but it’s maintaining Tizen. What’s new with the Gear 2 is a new luxurious design as a result of the South Korean tech giant’s partnership with de GRISOGONO. The latter is a famous jewelry and watchmaker that delivers class, style, and function with each and every timepiece.
Samsung will be unveiling the new smartwatch at the Baselworld 2016 in Switzerland. Officially called as the Samsung Gear S2 by de GRISOGONO, this wearable device is a redesigned, blinged out Gear S2. This version is way more expensive than the Samsung Gear S2 Classic that is set in Rose Gold or Platinum.
The smartwatch now comes with a more expensive-looking design. It looks like any luxury wrist watch but this one runs a wearable platform. If you don’t know how a Gear S2 looks like, you’d think this is a new different watch studded with more than 100 black and white diamonds on the rose gold watch frame. The bracelet used is the same signature galuchat by GRISOGONO. The bezel which is set in gold can be turned around the dial as quick control and access to the apps, logs, and notifications.
Specs of the Samsung Gear S2 by de GRISOGONO include the following: 1.2-inch circular Super AMOLED screen, 360 x 360 resolution, 302 ppi, 4GB internal memory, 512MB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NCF, standard sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, heart rate, ambient light), and a 250mAh Li-ion battery. Device can last for 2 to 3 days and supports wireless charging.
