In case you didn’t know, the Chinese brand LeTV is now known as LeEco. It has yet to reach the United States but it has a potential to compete with the other Chinese brands like ZTE, Huawei, and Xiaomi. Rumor has it that LeEco will finally enter the American market if we are to believe a set of image renders of what’s believed to be a new smartphone. The next LeEco phone who could be a device similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge or S7 edge with its edge screen.
Our friends over at 9to5Google managed to get renders of the LeEco phone. It’s just a future phone concept but it can certainly become a reality. An source shared a tip to the tech website and said the company is working on a new hardware. Looking at the images, the design looks nice and seamless. You won’t see any buttons at the front and it looks very slim and sleek. We’ve seen something similar before but this one seems to have a USB-C port and a fingerprint sensor.
The phone is just a concept but it can be exciting to see a totally buttonless phone someday and it might take some time. The curved edge display technology could be the beginning of full on-screen buttons and controls.
We’re confident that LeEco, formerly LeTV, will be able to make something close to a buttonless phone. Just check out the Le Max Pro announced last January and see how impressive it is. Let’s wait and see if and when LeEco releases this concept phone–if not, something closer to the design.
