The screen dimming f.lux app has finally arrived on Android in beta mode a few weeks ago. It’s already out of beta and now available for all but it still requires rooting the smartphone. This app is useful because it helps in removing the bright blue colors from the phone that makes it difficult for mobile users to sleep at night.

You see, those blue colors must be eliminated from the phone screen so you can easily relax at night. The app automatically dims the screen during a scheduled time. The app live on the Google Play Store is still a preview version but everyone can not get it. But just like the beta package, this still needs the phone to be rooted. Don’t worry, most phones running 5.x Lollipop and 6.x Marshmallow can run the screen dimming application. However, there may be instances that a device running Android 5.x may not work but it should be easy to fix.

If you want to unintsall the app, you just need to disable f.lux and reboot right after. There are still some known issues like other apps telling the f.lux app to turn off when it shouldn’t. With the app enabled, you may also expect your screen to flash anytime an app listed on the Play Store gets an update.
