ASUS seems to have a big winner in the ZenFone Max which comes with a 5000 mAh battery. That’s very huge for a standard smartphone and so we’re curious as to how long will the device really last. There are a lot of ZenFone devices out in the market but this one is said to be the most powerful with that battery. There’s one we know which has a bigger capacity like the Oukitel K10000 with its 1000 mAh batt but the ZenFone Max is something from a more common brand.

The ASUS ZenFone Max was recently compared against the iPhone 6s Plus. It was ASUS who did the test which is actually more like a battery marathon. No complicated durability tests here, just good old battery marathon to know which one will last longer. Watch the video below:

Even before watching the video, we knew ASUS would win for obvious reasons. ASUS wouldn’t be the one publishing the result if it didn’t win the challenge. It’s interesting to know, although not really surprising, that the iPhone 6s Plus lasted only less than six hours–5 hours and 31 minutes to be exact. Meanwhile, our champion– the ZenFone Max–lasted 12 hours and 45 minutes.

This Battery Life Challenge had the two smartphones doing the same things: YouTube video playback over the same Wi-Fi network, display with full brightness but with cellular connectivity turned off.

The whole duration of the challenge was condensed into a one-minute video. If this won’t convince you to go for the ASUS ZenFone Max because of the battery, I don’t know what will.
