Another OPPO model is coming our way as teased the other day. There’s still no confirmation on the OPPO R9m and the OPPO R9m Plus but these TENAA pages tell us that new flagship phones are almost ready. The devices have been approved already and now we have information about the specs. The OPPO R9m flagship runs ColorOS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Sorry, no Marshmallow and we don’t think it will be ready for Android 6.0 yet.
Based on the TENAA document, we know the OPPO R9m is powered by an unknown 1.95 Ghz Octa-core processor. Phone will have a 5.5-inch FHD screen with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution (organic EL screen), 16MP main camera, 4G/LTE connectivity, 32GB built-in storage, and 4GB RAM. No information on battery size but we’re assuming it will use some 3700 mAh battery. Phone will be available in two color variants: gold and silver.
The OPPO R9M is listed with the following frequency: FDD-LTE / TD-LTE / W-CDMA / TD-SCDMA / CDMA2000 / GSM terminal. Phone has been certified and approved for commercial release so let’s just wait for the Chinese OEM’s official announcement. Phone weighs 145g and measures 151.8 × 74.3 × 6.5mm only. The bigger ‘Plus’ version measures 163×80.8×7.4mm and weighs 185g as listed on the Chinese FCC website.
