The much-awaited Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge have just been unveiled. We already have our hands-on feature and we know the Galaxy S7 is definitely the LG G5‘s direct rival. We have yet to do a comparison review of the premium flagship smartphones but before that happens, we’re sure you’d like to know when you’ll be able to get one. Soon after the Unpacked event, the top mobile carriers in the US made their announcements of the pre-order starting date, pricing, and availability.
As we already learned a few weeks ago, at least, for the European models, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be available starting March 11. T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T will take pre-orders starting February 23. Suggested retail price of the entry-level Galaxy S7 is around $669 while S7 edge is $779 but so far, the networks have only listed pricing for monthly plans. Here’s a rundown of the pricing details and availability options:
AT&T. The entry-level Galaxy S7 already has 32GB of internal storage. On AT&T Next 24, the phone will be $23.17/monthly while the S7 edge will be $26.50. That’s only a three-dollar difference. You can get the Galaxy S7 in Gold Platinum and Black Onyx. The Galaxy S7 will be ready in the same color options plus Silver Titanium.
T-Mobile. Pricing is a bit higher at $27.92 for 23 months but with no downpayment. The 24th month is also a few cents cheaper $27.83. Meanwhile, the 32GB Galaxy S7 edge will be $32.50 for 23 months plus $32.49 for the 24th month. Same color options will also be offered: Silver Titanium(S7 edge only), Gold Platinum, and Black Onyx.
Verizon. Interestingly, Verizon has not announced the prices yet but there are S7/S7 edge related deals already. There’s the Memory Bundle that will only cost $79.99 for any phone case, screen protector, and 32GB microSD card. There’s also the Charging Bundle that includes a Fast Charging Portable Power Pack, Wireless Fast Charging Stand, and car charger with Fast Charging for only $99. The latter is a great deal because the items combined are actually worth $179.99.
AT&T is offering DIRECTV Integration with the smartphone while Verizon is giving away 24GB of free data each year when you upgrade or sign up for a new Verizon Plan XL. Meanwhile, T-Mobile is offering a FREE Gear VR, a 6-pack VR game bundle, and a full year subscription on Netflix when you buy a Galaxy S7 on a select plan. Don’t forget that there’s also the Binge One and Music Freedom benefits from T-Mobile.
