The OPPO R7 Plus has been teased since May of this year. Back then, we were told that the smartphone would boast a 2.5D display screen and fast charging. Specs and benchmark scores were revealed by GFXBench soon and was only made official in August as the latest flagship phone from the company. Pre-orders were opened in the United States and Europe the following month impressing the market with its almost zero bezel and big screen.
As if the hype wasn’t enough, the brand partnered with FC Barcelona and released an R7 Plus special edition. Another variant, the R7s, was seen over at TENAA and was speculated to arrive in two variants. One version was already introduced with an all-day battery life. The other one, we’re not sure, but it could could be this R7 Plus recently listed on OPPO online.
Phew. That’s a lot of of R7 phones but don’t be confused yet. The Android smartphone series is popular in India and China. The R7 Plus is simply an enhanced version of the R7. It’s more high end with its 64GB onboard storage, 4GB RAM, 6.0-inch AMOLED display, 1080 X 1920 resolution, 2.5D Arc Edge screen, Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, fingerprint sensor, and a 4100mAh battery. Phone runs Color OS 2.1 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
In China, the R7 Plus from China Unicom comes with a MediaTek MT6795 Octa-Core processor and a 2999 Yuan price tag which is about $483. The Snapdragon variant is a bit expensive at 3299 Yuan ($512). Those in China can now pre-order for this model.
