So you’ve already sent in your pre-order for the Nexus 6P. You’re just waiting for it to be delivered and finally see for yourself if its camera is really better than the Xperia Z5’s and if it’s worthy to be No. 3 at DxOMark Mobile Imaging rankings. But sad to say, there will be some kind of delay in shipments according to Google.
The Internet giant is sending out e-mails to Nexus 6P buyers, saying that because of the “strong demand”, it might take them a little longer than expected. Delivery should have started yesterday, October 27, but it’s been moved to any date between November 7 and 14, 2015. A delay is oftentimes expected especially in the tech industry so it’s okay. Most people are understandable but Google is still very generous to give $25 as refund to every purchase. That’s like getting a price cut.
Google’s letter reads:
Hello there —
Thank you for buying a Nexus 6P from the Google Store. We’re really excited about this phone and we hope you are too. But we have some not-so-great news: It’s going to take a little longer to get the 6P to you than we would have liked. We’re working hard to meet the strong demand we’re seeing for the color and memory size you ordered, and we promise it will be worth it! Rest assured that orders will still be shipped in the order that they were received.
As of now, we’re expecting to deliver your 6P order between 11/7/2015 and 11/14/2015, and we’ll send you a notification as soon as it goes out the door. As a courtesy, we’ll give you a $25 refund on your purchase, which we’ll process soon after your phone ships.
We know that waiting a bit longer can be inconvenient, though remember we won’t charge you until your order ships. We also want to make sure you’re aware that you can cancel your order. We’d hate to see you go, but if you need to, just follow the instructions here.
We apologize for this news, and thank you again for your order.
Sincerely,
The Google Store Team
Google said this unfortunate delay is only for certain colors and memory sizes. We’re guessing mostly the 128GB version because it’s a new and bigger option.

I received an email today 10/28/15 with a tracking number for my 6P
I ordered two Nexus 6Ps and both have the date of Nov. 2-3. The 32GB Graphite version has been shipped and is supposed to be delivered today. The 128GB Aluminium version still says pending, but I have not received any email.
