The newly redesigned Google Play Store is expected to roll out of beta very soon. But before this change, there are some new improvements on the Play Store app that you may have missed. Star ratings are now displayed numerically everywhere in the store instead of just the five stars being displayed.
When you check out an app, you’ll only see a star and a number beside the title. The star is filled depending on the rating. This numerical view shows the rating quickly and at a glance. No need to count and check out how many actual stars have been filled. This update should be viewable in your Play Store now if you’ve recently updated. If you still don’t see the change, make sure you download the update.
Checking out new Android Wear apps is now easier too with that new watch icon. If you browse through the app and click on the details, you’ll see a small watch icon just above ‘READ MORE’ if an app supports Android Wear. When you click on ‘Read more’ and scroll down to the bottom of the page for more details, you’ll see the icon again before the ‘Enhanced for Android Wear’ description.
We’ve seen quite a number of apps that already show the new ‘ numerical star rating’ and ‘watch icon’ for easier identifications. The update seems to be not available for everyone and all apps because some Android Wear apps that we’re familiar with still don’t have the watch icon. We’re assuming Google is making the final changes before the new Google Play Store starts to roll out.
GREAT THING I CAN’T EVER SEEN
