We’re here at Pepcom, a tiny bit of popcorn after the events of today’s Mobile World Congress, one of many. We’re here with Dell checking out the new Dell Venue, an Android phone running Android 2.2 Froyo, containing a 1GHz QSD 8250 processor, and working on a whole load of bands for connections.

For bands on this device you’ve got GSM 850/900/1800/1900, GPRS Class 12; EDGE Class 12, WCDMA 850/1900/2100 or 900/AWS/2100, and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps / HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. This phone has a giant AM-OLED 4.1″ 800 x 480 pixel screen and takes giant 8 megapixel photos on the back with a dedicated camera key along the side. The most interesting bit on this phone is Dell’s overlay they call “Dell Stage” which you’ll see in the video below.

Solid aesthetics on the outside, a fine amount of power on the inside. Three buttons under the display, smooth silver sides containing a plastic black in the center. Patterned back battery cover that’s almost impossible to get off, and a nice looking engine under the hood. Have a peek above and below.
