EvolveSMS is one of the more popular messaging apps for mobile that’s been regularly getting updates. It lets anyone quickly reply to SMS from a computer. The app just got a huge update that includes some small adjustments for the impending arrival of the Marshmallow mobile OS.
The updated EvolveSMS (version 4.0.0) now features full support for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It’s compatible with Android Wear via an app that allows you to chat with friends straight from the smartwatch. Typing may be limited but at least you can connect with family and friends without having to pull out the phone from your pocket. For Android 6.0 devices, you can now take advantage of fingerprint authentication. New users can see an updated intro screen and find friends that are nearby. The setting UI has been updated as well and support for launcher unread count badges has been added.
EvolveSMS remains as one of the more powerful texting replacement apps today because of the ease and convenience it provides the users. The interface is still smooth despite the changes as you can easily slide between messages. There’s also support for group messaging, batch deleting, archiving, poassword protection, and customizable notifications. Sending any files is a breeze as made possible by its full multimedia support.
