The two new mid-range phones unveiled by Sony last month, the Xperia M5 and C5 Ultra, are now available in some countries. Sure, the Xperia Z5 phones definitely have better specs but people who only want a mid-range phone could have the the M5 and C5 Ultra as their choices.
Either of the two, you’ll never go wrong with an Xperia but Sony has always been selective in where to release the phones. In Europe, launch is limited and we have yet to know when exactly and for how much. For now, most Asian countries plus Russia will get to enjoy the smartphones.
In Hong Kong, the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Dual and Xperia M5 Dual will be available starting tomorrow, September 9, for HK$ 3,298 and HK$ 3,698, respectively. No information on the Xperia M5 coming to India yet but the country will have the C5 Ultra in white, black, or glossy mint versions for Rs. 29,990. Malaysia will have the Xperia C5 Ultra Dual for RM 1,399 and the gold-version Xperia M5 Dual for RM 1,599 later this month.
In Taiwan, Xperia C5 Ultra costs NT$ 11,900 while the Xperia M5 a bit pricier at NT$ 12,900. In Russia, the mid-range Android phones will be available 24,990 Roubles (C5 Ultra), 28,990 Roubles (Xperia M5), and 29,990 Roubles (Xperia M5 Dual). Note that only a few countries will get the dual variants of each model.
