Temple Run isn’t the only popular endless runner game. There are similar games we’ve featured already like the Lara Croft: Relic Run, Ridiculous Triathlon, Fotonica, and the Monkey King. There are more game titles to try but download this new release from MGP Studios first: Roll’d.
Roll’d is a new endless runner game that promises a bit of a twist. Most games challenge the player to be the runner but this time, you need to control the track. The idea seems complicated but adjusting the track to maintain a straight level can be easy once you get the hang of it. You can touch, slide, or tilt the track placed in beautiful graphical environments and animations. There are different weather conditions as well, adapting to atmospheric and lightning effects and day cycle.
Each level is designed with inspirations and references from the CGA era. If you’re familiar with the old 8-16bit NES/SNES, you’d probably love the graphics used here. Added were some modern visual treats, cool lighting effects, and dynamic weather conditions.
Control the track, not the hero. Make sure you keep the track steady and beat your own high record. Game is free for download but in-app purchases are available.
