A few months after it arrived for Android mobile devices, video on demand streaming service Sling TV is now available on another member of the family, the Android TV platform. This means you can watch live sports events, sports programs, TV shows, etc. on any device that is on the platform, including the Nexus Player, Forge TV, Shield Android TV, ADT-1, and the OgleBox. And if you’re thinking of getting an Android TV, Sling TV also has a special deal for those looking to expand their TV viewing experience.
Sling TV has several channels on its roster, including ESPN, TNT, TBS, Food Network, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, and the Disney Channel. You don’t need to be tied down to a long-time contract with the service, as it will just charge you on a month per month basis. It also has a whole library of original content in its Maker Studios, which features around 55,000 independent creators. And now you will be able to watch all these not just in the convenience of your Android mobile devices but also on the bigger screen of the Android TV.
Some of the newest offerings from SlingTV include the NBA Playoffs for all the basketball fans out there, which include highlights on ESPN SportsCenter. If you want to catch all the newest TV series and movies on HBO, inlcuding the super popular Game of Thrones, the second season of critically-acclaimed True Detective, and the new series starring Dwayne “The Rock:” Johnson called Ballers.
Subscription to SlingTV, which includes 22 channels, is just at $20 every month. If you want to add HBO, you need to pay an additional $15. And if you don’t have an Android TV yet, you can get a Nexus Player at 50% off when you pre-pay for three months of Sling TV. Not too shabby a deal if you really want your own smart TV and a TV streaming service to go with it.
