The latest version of the wearable platform, Android Wear 5.1.1, has finally rolled out. Some of the first ones to receive the update were LG G Watch and LG G Watch R users but we’re expecting more smartwatch models will get the version in the next few days. If you have the latest smartwatch especially from LG, Sony, Motorola, or ASUS, you will receive the update soon or you can check manually on your device’s settings.
Google has already confirmed the news although there was no big, formal announcement. We just noticed Android Wear 5.1.1 rolling out. Notifications have simply popped up on some Android Wear watches and we’re expecting some changes including Google Play Music browsing. Other improvements are noticeable on the menu structure too. Of course, who could forget the new notification, drawing of emoji on the screen, and the addition of flick gestures. Wi-Fi support isn’t included yet in this version but we might see that one in the next wearable software update.
The LG Watch Urbane was the first to run the latest Android Wear. And as with any other software update, Android Wear 5.1.1 is bringing in a lot of bugs fixed and new features for an enhanced wearable experience.
