ZTE ZMAX phablet

Aside from the news that that Galaxy Note 4 getting a taste of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, T-Mobile is also relisting the ZTE ZMAX. This was actually soon after the Sony Xperia Z3 was also relisted on the website after being absent from the lineup for some time. This is good news for those who want a ZTE ZMAX and want to get the Android tablet only from T-Mobile. It wasn’t actually a long absence but the ten days of possible sales is already a loss for both companies.

We had no idea why T-Mobile removed the ZTE ZMAX phablet from the current lineup but it could be because owners were taking off their batteries. That’s a mere speculation but the phone’s back cover is clipped on. Some geeks are reportedly trying to take it off by using a screw driver or a knife. T-Mobile was believed to have sent ZTE this complaint. On the other hand, T-Mobile should have noticed this issue before approving the device for release.

As a response, T-Mobile said in a statement that they wanted to “investigate a potential battery problem” after all the problems encountered and complaints filed. The investigation was officially led by ZTE. The end result now is T-Mobile immediately resuming sales of the ZTE ZMAX.

The phablet is back and it seems the two companies have sorted things out. Once again, T-Mobile is requesting customers not to remove the battery—it’s non-removable even if it looks just clipped on. Opening the phone or further attempts to remove the battery will void phone warranty.
