We know how this works – manufacturers tend to test out website elements for new products and try to pull them out as quickly as possible, maybe for real world testing, maybe to get people to start talking about said product. We’ve seen it done many times before – and it just might be what we’re seeing here as Sony did a quick “one-two” for the upcoming Xperia Z4 Tablet device.
The new tablet was shown over the official Xperia Lounge channel before it was quickly pulled back out, but not before the good people of the internet could get some screenshots. What can be confirmed from the description in the screen shot is this – that the tablet will be equipped with the “latest ultrafast processor” and a “stunning 2K display”. Sony has always been great with their TRILUMINOS display technology, but will this mean that the Xperia Z4 Tablet will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset?
If you remember before, a supposed leak of the specs of an “Ultra” version of this tablet foretold of a robust spec list – the aforementioned Snapdragon 810, a whopping 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, and a 12,100mAh battery. That is for a larger version of this new tablet, a 12-inch version.
We hope that the Xperia Z4 Tablet comes close to that spec line, and knowing how Sony works with its flagship devices, there will be no dilly-dallying over the specs of this one – maybe 3 or 4GB of RAM, and a solid battery capacity of at least 4,000mAh. All this is speculation, but looking at the screenshots and the date shown there – which is March 3, 2015 – we can safely assume that this will be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress 2015 just a few days from now in Barcelona.
