All we knew last year was the Kodak Instamatic 2014 cameraphone concept running Android. It was really just a concept but before the year 2014 ends, Kodak and Bullitt Group have announced some new Android-powered devices that offered a great UI, design, and the best in image management software. Well, we’ve got no information about the exact name of the model and specs but at least we know for sure that Kodak is set to show off something next year.
Kodak and Bullitt Mobile have partnered to bring mobile devices that can give users a high-end experience but not as complicated as the other high-specced devices in the market today. Kodak also added an advanced remote management software pre-installed in the devices. We’re expecting to see the first model this coming January at the CES 2015.
CEO OF Bullitt Mobile Oliver Schulte is happy about this partnership. He said in a statement:
“Kodak is one of the world’s most recognisable brands. It is trusted by consumers as a marque of quality and innovation. We’ve taken that heritage and used it to inspire a range of beautifully designed devices that will let users take great pictures and edit, share, store and print them in an instant.”
The KODAK Mobile Device promises a great user experience and design although we have no idea how the phone looks like or what are the specs but usability is expected to be impressive. The mobile device will bring “easy access to printing and sharing services while still offering the latest Android OS and features found on high-end smartphones” according to Schulte.
At the same time, Kodak’s VP Brand Licensing Eileen Murphy is also excited to enter the mobile handset market. Murphy said, “We are impressed with Bullitt Group’s commitment to delivering a portfolio of products that embrace the quality and innovation that our brand is known for around the world.”
We’ll see that first Kodak-Bullitt handset at the CES 2015 a couple of weeks from now. Stay tuned.
