If you’ve tried the Dolphin Browser for Android before, you’ll probably be familiar with how the UI plays out. But that itself is getting a major update as the developers of the browser want to get current with Android Lollipop’s Material Design – hence the Dolphin Browser Express, an updated browser fully ready for Android 5.0 goodness.
As you may expect, there are a lot of new UI tweaks that have been added on to your regular Dolphin Browser experience on this new app. That includes performance tweaks for the Download and News modules, and the addition of being able to set preferences for downloads. You are now also able to set preffered apps that open certain links on the content you’re browsing – for example, open a Google Maps link with the Google Maps app.
The main difference, though, is the localized content that the new app gives you. The Dolphin Browser Express seems to be targeted to specific regions – including Russia, Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and the Philippines – where the browser is able to give region-specific content like weather forecast data and news updates.
If you want to give this new browser a whirl, make sure to download it via the Google Play Store here. We did already mention that the app is now friendly with Android 5.0, so no worries on compatibility.
