AT&T has long been planing for in-flight wireless service but looks like the carrier is letting go of it. This means challenging Gogo Inflight Internet is a no-go for AT&T, at least not yet, as the company focuses on other priorities. Earlier this spring, the network proudly announced of its plans to bring Internet to passengers and that they’re working with Honeywell to make it happen.
AT&T was planning to bring 4G/LTE service to passengers while above the clouds but the network is reportedly foregoing its plans. This seems like bad news to subscribers who are looking forward to wireless gaming, streaming, or web browsing while on a flight but AT&T has other things to do. Its recent purchase of Lusacell, a Mexican carrier, is one proof that AT&T is exploring new opportunities.
AT&T could be working to take over North America. It may be too big of a dream but all the company needs to do is to buy more, smaller carriers in the region. If this happens, AT&T could be the largest continental network carrier in the world but it will take some time and huge efforts from them.
Rumor has it the AT&T is focusing on ‘video technology’ right now. AT&T is believed to be playing nice with Netflix. The network could also be working on that DirecTV purchase but AT&T has yet to make an official announcement. Let’s just wait and see.

Just FYI the company name is iusacell with an “i” not an “L”
