The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet has been available to purchase in some countries for a while now. It might not be available in your neck of the woods just yet, but with availability some places already, we know all there is to know about the smartphone. We have even seen it torture tested using a robotic butt. Samsung has taken the time to talk a bit about the accessibility features crammed into the Note 4, and there are a lot of them.
Samsung says that the big screen of the Note series and the S Pen, the devices have been popular with people that have hearing impairments. The new camera of the Note 4 has improved quality and allows video calling showing sign language better, even when in darker indoor environments.
Accessibility features of the smartphone include a Doorbell Detector that can recognize the sound of the doorbell after it is recorded on the smartphone and alert users when the sound is heard again. Parents of infants can also record the sound of baby crying and the smartphone will alarm when the baby cries again using vibration or light.
Hover Zoom lets users magnify content on the smartphone screen by hovering over it with a finger or pen and will help visually impaired users use the device. An Image Reader function will read the file type, date, location, weather, category, and subject of the photo for visually impaired users. Voice Guide is able to detect the number of subjects in the photo and guides users to take better pictures. Other accessibility feature include TalkBack to speak options users have selected and Dark Screen allowing users access some features when the display is turned off.
