We’ve been seeing details of the Nokia “Normandy” lately, and there is even the expectation about how the handset will see an official unveil later this month during Mobile World Congress. Nokia has scheduled an event, but more to the point for today — it seems the Normandy has gotten some early retail attention in Vietnam.
Early is the key detail here, as Nokia has yet to offer any sort of confirmation. To that point, the listing even makes it clear how Nokia has not officially announced the handset just yet. Keeping that in mind, the listing has the Normandy sitting as the Nokia X A110 and with a price of somewhere between 2.2 to 2.5 mil VND. The US equivalent for that would be around $110.
Aside from the price hinting about the Nokia X A110 being a lower-end device, the specs included keep with that line of thought. In this case the listing shows the handset with a 4-inch (854 x 480) display and powered by a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon 200 processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
As for Android, it seems Nokia will be starting with the most recent — Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat. Other details for the Normandy include mention of WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, a microSD card slot, A-GPS and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera. The specs certainly aren’t overly exciting, however one thing we were shown with the release of the Moto G was that it doesn’t always need to be about the spec list.
