Confirming the earlier rumors, US Cellular has officially announced the upcoming availability of the Moto G. The handset will be launching on February 10th, and it will be arriving with a price that matches what we saw with Verizon Wireless. That is to say US Cellular will have the Moto G priced at $99.99.
To clarify that price, that is a no-contract $99.99. The price comes as a result of a $90 instant discount. US Cellular has also said users will be able to pair the Moto G with any of their No Contact plan options. These plans include a $50 and $65 per month option, as well as the recently announced $50 “limited time” promotional offering.
That promotional offering includes unlimited talk, text and data with the first 500MB of data at high-speeds. The other key with this plan is the promise of no overage charges. Otherwise, both of those other plan options include unlimited talk and text. The regular $50 per month plan includes 1GB of data while the $65 per month plan ups the data to 2GB.
Aside from having the Moto G compatible with the US Cellular network, the specs are what we have been seeing. As was expected, US Cellular will be launching the Moto G with Android 4.4 Kit Kat. Remaining specs for the handset include a 4.5-inch 720p HD display, quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 2070 mAh battery, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and 3G connectivity.
