If you were wondering fit he LG G Flex would be available in your area, there is good news. The G Flex will be carried by Orange, which uses the EE network in the UK but their own in other areas. The device will be available in France, starting in February, but no other details were provided.
According to ZD NET, Orange is confirming they’ll carry the device, but have yet to announce pricing. Orange, like most carriers, offers a pay-as-you-go option as well as a prepaid service option. Orange has about 27 million subscribers in France, but they haven’t said if the device will come to other areas they cover, such as Spain.
It could be a sign that LG is preparing a staged rollout in smaller markets before heading to the US. The device is set to launch in South Korea (LG’s home country) tomorrow, and elsewhere “soon”. Confirming the device for the French market could mean we’ll see the device later in the USA. We know it’s been confirmed as going to major markets, but a timeframe hasn’t been solidified.
The G Flex, with it’s polarizing form factor, is a spec heavy device nonetheless. With a Snapdragon 800 processor and 3,500mAh battery, it’s already of interest to many. Couple that with a 13MP rear camera and 6-inch 1280 x 720 OLED screen, and it could be the brightest option for the French.
