Tomorrow those on US Cellular will be able to purchase one of the biggest smartphones currently on the market. That being the massive 6.3-inch Samsung Galaxy MEGA phone/tablet hybrid. If the Galaxy Note II or some of these other smartphones were somehow too small, the MEGA should certainly fill the void.
Released last month on AT&T (see our review) the Galaxy MEGA 6.3 is an odd mix of top-end and mid-range specs blend into one. It won’t be as fast or powerful as the 5.5 Note II, or just announced Galaxy Note III with 3GB of RAM and a 5.7-inch display, but it has a few other nice things going for it. One being the price.
The specs are a bit odd and we have a 6.3-inch display with only a 1280 x 720p HD display. No 1080p here guys. Under the hood is a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. Then you’ll get 16GB of storage and micro-SD slot. Thankfully we have Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean here, and most those fancy TouchWiz features from the Galaxy S4.
The video above is the AT&T model, but over on US Cellular you’ll have nearly the same exact experience. US Cellular will start offering this massive smartphone for the decent price of $149 tomorrow online, then you can expect to be able to pick one up in stores starting the 19th. As we said in our original review, you might want to get your hands on it first before making the decision. It’s ridiculously big.
