Android fans dying to get their hands on the latest Android release are in for a treat. CyanogenMod has just announced the first nightly build of CyanogenMod 10.2. This is the version that is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The CyanogenMod team has obviously been busy. It’s been barely a month since Google announced Android 4.3 and CyanogenMod confirming that they have begun working on a new version based on the latest Android iteration. In the meantime, the team has added 11 more devices to its list as well as teased us with Chromecast support. Now the team has revealed on its Google+ page the first nightly build of version 10.2 with Android 4.3.
Not all supported devices will get the nightly at once. Some have had some issues so nightlies for them will come when they are ready. CyanogenMod also mentions that ClockworkMod (CWM) recoveries are also being built. Users installing CM 10.2 are advised to upgrade their third party apps as well but to be careful not to flash incompatible older versions.
The usual caveats of installing alpha software apply, but even more so with nightly builds. CyanogenMod stresses that it will not be accepting bug reports for them. Most of us will probably wait for the beta or final release, but those brave enough to test the waters can get it from CyanogenMod’s nightlies download page here.

I am gonna flash it on my phone right now
Good luck! Tell us how it goes. 🙂
I heard its been breaking root. Did they get this fixed?
Flashed last night on my S3 and half my apps didnt show up (including the Dialer and GTalk.. but Maps and other gapps were fine..). Also, had LTE data but no connection to internet was made.
Overall still a lot of bugs. Not usable at all yet.
